Adverse weather arrangements

Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3

When Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3 is first hoisted, all classes and examinations will continue as normal. All offices will remain open.

Typhoon Signal Pre-No. 8 or Above / Extreme Condition Announcement

If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted or an “Extreme Condition” announcement is issued by the Government after super typhoons; or if the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above will be hoisted within 2 hours, all classes/examinations will be cancelled. If you are already in class, the teaching staff will release you to go home as soon as possible. Students and visitors are advised to leave as soon as practicable.

However, examinations already in progress should continue except for situation which endanger students and warrant immediate termination of the examinations as determined by the Vice-President.

Class and Examination Arrangements

Campus & General Offices Arrangements

On or before 7:00 a.m.

All classes and examinations commencing from 9:00 am onward will be held as scheduled.

Campus and General Offices will open 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered / Extreme Condition is cancelled.

On or before 10:59 a.m.

All classes and examinations commencing from 2.00 pm onward will be held as scheduled.

Campus and General Offices will open 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered / Extreme Condition is cancelled.

On or before 2:59 p.m.

All classes and examinations commencing from 6:00 pm onward will be held as scheduled.

 

Campus and General Offices will open 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered/ Extreme Condition is cancelled.

At or after 3:00 p.m.

All classes and examinations with commencement time at or after 6:00 p.m. will be suspended

Campus and General Offices will be closed

Announcements made by the Education Bureau relating to suspension of classes for schools do not apply to the College.

Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning

When Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning is first issued, all classes and examinations will continue as normal. All offices will remain open.

Black Rainstorm Warning Issued

If black rainstorm warning is issued, all classes/examinations will be cancelled. If a black rainstorm warning is issued during a class or examination period, all classes and examinations already in progress will continue. Students and visitors should be advised to stay until the black rainstorm warning has been cancelled and traffic conditions have improved.

At or after 3:00 p.m.

All classes and examinations with commencement time at or after 6:00 p.m. will be suspended
