UOW College Hong Kong announced the 2024 Staff Awards at a ceremony on 7 March 2025. Among the award winners was Employee of the Year Dr Hitoshi Murakami, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, who also won the Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr Murakami said he was honoured to receive the awards and paid tribute to the College for providing an environment where he could contribute to in various ways to get the desired teaching and learning outcomes. Dr Murakami would be joining others from UOW global campuses in Dubai in April 2025 for the UOWGE Global Staff Awards. A full list of award winners is as follows:

Apart from the award winners, there were also two highly commended colleagues. Ms Marisa Mastroianni, Group CEO and Managing Director of UOW Global Enterprises, opened proceedings with her welcome remarks. “It is not uncommon for us to notice that some of our colleagues embody not just one, but several of the UOWGE corporate core values,” said Ms Currie Tsang, UOWCHK President, who also acknowledged the contributions of other colleagues in the College.
