The award presentation ceremony for the 2nd Japanese culture manga contest for secondary school students was held on 17 May 2024 at UOWCHK. Nearly 70 manga works were submitted, among which 14 participants were invited to the ceremony. Judges from the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, the Japan Society of Hong Kong and prefectural offices of Kagoshima, Tochigi and Miyazaki also joined the ceremony.
The 14 awardees comprised the Champion, 1st to 3rd runners-up and 10 Encouragement Awards.
In the contest, students were required to create a four-frame comic strip based on the provided lines of their choice. All manga works submitted in the contest were highly creative and attractive!
