On 9th May 2023, the College paid a visit to the South China Agricultural University and the Guangzhou Vocational University of Science and Technology (SCAU). The aim of the visit was to exchange academic views to understand programme development opportunities in the vocational area. South China Agricultural University is a Double First Class University located in Guangzhou, China, which offers 95 undergraduate degree programmes. The College and the International College of SCAU discussed the feasibility of establishing cooperation that would provide students with broader exposure.
Guangzhou Vocational and Technical University of Science and Technology (GVUST) is a new university that focuses on producing graduates with vocational skills. The College and GVUST examined the possibility of collaboration to enable students to acquire practical knowledge and skills that are highly sought after in the industry. The visit was a productive one that paved the way for new avenues of cooperation and mutual benefit between the College and the two universities. The College anticipates further development of the collaboration to enhance the quality of education for the benefit of students in South China and Hong Kong.
