Students and teachers were updated on innovative technologies in education as they attended two recent seminars on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in September. At the “Prompt Engineering for Perplexity AI and Ideogram” seminar on 17 September 2024, students learned essential skills for effectively communicating with AI systems. Participants were eager to apply their new knowledge in various contexts.
The “Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD)” session on 20 September 2024 offered by Hoplite-tech.com for teachers focused on AI tools for question generation and assessment. Teachers who attended were able to gain insights into generating Moodle questions and enhancing student motivation through ZPD strategies.
Both events raised awareness of AI technologies among students and educators, reflecting College's dedication to preparing its community for the challenges of a tech-driven world. The positive responses indicate a strong interest in ongoing professional development and innovative teaching methods, paving the way for future initiatives that empower students and educators alike.
