UOW College Hong Kong was among the institutions invited to the "Social Welfare Sector Connecting Hearts • National Day Dinner" on 5 October 2024. Representing the College were Dr Karen Lee, Mr Vincent Li and Mr Alvin Yau from the Faculty of Social Sciences. Among the guests of honour for the night were Mr Chris SUN Yuk-han, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare; and Legislative Council Members Rev. Canon Peter Douglas KOON and Mr. TIK Chi-yuen. The dinner to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was attended by about 1,000 individuals from over 100 social welfare organizations.
香港伍倫貢學院於2024年10月5日（星期六）獲邀出席「社福界心連心 • 國慶社福薈萃晚宴」，當晚社科院三位老師（李玉儀、李文傑及邱智恆）代表學院出席，並與勞工及福利局局長孫玉菡先生、立法局議員管浩鳴牧師及狄志遠先生拍照留念 , 約有一千位來自一百多間社福機構的人士參與晚宴，共聚一堂，慶祝中華人民共和國成立七十五週年。
