On 8th August, 2023, the Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE) organized a teacher training about the Diploma of Applied Education (DAE) at the College’s Tai Wai campus. The DAE programme focuses on the design and content that incorporate additional Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) elements, including a brand new stream and communication and information technology, to facilitate DAE students’ articulation to other VPET programmes. The training covered an overall briefing on DAE together with individual courses on Chinese, English, and mathematics. Apart from standardizing the teaching and assessments among institutions, it was a great opportunity for teachers to meet each other to share their good practice for diverse backgrounds of students with different learning purposes and attitudes.
