Staff of UOW College Hong Kong experienced a day of innovation and professional growth as they took part in the Digital and Blended Learning Workshop on 9 January 2025. The workshop aimed to equip educators and administrators with cutting-edge tools and strategies to enhance teaching efficiency and administrative productivity. Through a series of engaging sessions, participants explored the transformative potential of AI tools, blended learning methodologies and interactive platforms, gaining practical insights that could help them in their daily routines.
The workshop featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including Dr Charlie Choi, Mr Victor King, Mr Tony Lam, Dr Lau Ho-lam and Prof. K K Sin, who shared their expertise on integrating technology into teaching and administrative processes. Key topics covered included maximizing student engagement through tools like the BenQ Board and Padlet, streamlining tasks with AI-powered solutions, and enhancing language teaching and assessment using advanced AI tools. In addition, sessions on creating chatbots, transforming text into visuals, and developing educational videos equipped participants with innovative skills to improve productivity and teaching effectiveness.
Participants appreciated the useful skills gained and were eager to apply them in their work. The workshop underscores the College’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting staff in adapting to the evolving educational landscape.
