As part of the Hong Kong Maritime Week 2023, UOW College Hong Kong hosted a port development seminar entitled "The Ever-changing Port Terminal: From Design to Operation” on 24 November 2023. Mr. Basil Leung, Professor of Practice and former Marine Officer with the Marine Department of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered the port design and planning seminar. Moreover, a strategic review of trade movement under de-risking operations was delivered by Mr. Louis Lee, a consultant, and a presentation on "Hong Kong at a Crossroads: Cooperation or Competition" was given by Dr. Fion Lee, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business at UOWCHK and a member of the teaching team for the Bachelor of Maritime Services and Operations Management (Honours) programme. The seminar attracted 25 participants from related industries who either attended in person or online.
