MOU paves the way to better learning experience
Students at UOW College Hong Kong’s (UOWCHK) aviation programmes will benefit from the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Jardine Aviation Services (JAS). In the MOU signing ceremony in late September, the College and JAS pledged to cooperate in aviation-related programmes to support the development of aviation professionals in Hong Kong. Valid for five years from the date of signing, the MOU will benefit UOWCHK students in aviation programmes such as the Associate of Science in Airport Operations and Aviation Logistics, and the Bachelor of Aviation (Honours) in Operations and Management, by offering scholarships and part-time jobs to students. The MOU will formalize the arrangement for students in the bachelor programme to take on internships/part-time jobs at JAS to satisfy their graduation requirements. This arrangement has proven successful as at least one graduate has been employed on a full-time basis, while others have become steady part-time workers. Among the other benefits to UOWCHK are collaboration in course delivery, and mentorship and training programmes.
