On 27th May 2023, the College hosted an online seminar with the Education Consultancy Centre to introduce the College’s programmes and admission requirements to prospective students in China. The seminar attracted over 320 participants interested in pursuing higher education in Hong Kong.
The seminar featured two alumni who shared their learning experiences at the College and their subsequent studies at local universities. One of them is currently studying at Lingnan University, while the other has graduated from Hong Kong Education University. The two alumni shared their experience on how they have benefitted from studying in UOWCHK, such as the College’s high quality teaching, the supportive learning environment, and the diverse opportunities for personal and professional development.
The participants were eagerly asking questions about various aspects of studying at UOWCHK, such as how to adapt to the change to study with English as the medium of instruction and how to use the gap before the course commencement to improve their English proficiency. The speaker and the staff from UOWCHK answered their questions and provided useful tips and advice. They also introduced the English enhancement programmes and services offered by UOWCHK to help students improve their language skills and confidence.
The seminar was productive and informative. It helped the participants gain a better understanding of UOWCHK and its programmes. The seminar ended with a warm applause from the participants and a sincere invitation from UOWCHK to apply for its programmes.
(學院於2023年5月27日與一教育諮詢機構舉辦了網上研討會，向有意到香港升學的學生介紹學院課程和入學要求，吸引了超過320名參加者。研討會邀請了兩位學院的校友分享他們在學院的學習經歷和在本地大學的進修情況。在談到在學院學習時，他們都不約而同地懷緬學院為學生所提供的優質教學、學習環境、學生支援服務、和多元的個人和專業發展機會。研討會在一片歡樂氣氛中結束。)
