With their high popularity, Associate Degree/Higher Diploma programmes have been offered for more than 20 years in Hong Kong. However, it may not be easy to fully understand the wide range of these programmes and the wide variety of programme promotional materials.
To help students and their parents seek a suitable programme for education and career development, the College organised a Parents’ Day with two sessions on 18 June 2022, Saturday, at the UOWCHK Kowloon City Campus. Other than providing programme information, speakers at the seminar offered useful tips on how to improve students’ capabilities in critical thinking and grasping of key topics in studies. There was a discussion to examine the difficulties that Hong Kong's youngsters willface in their near future, as well as and introduction to the UOWCHK’s vision, associate degree programmes, educational objectives, high-quality learning facilities, and opportunities for further studies. Two successful alumni of the College shared their learning experience with the audience - Miss. Pollileri Haritha and Athena Ngan who have received admission offers respectively from CityU and HKUST.. There were a total of 17 participants. A lot of questions were raised regarding the College's teaching philosophy, new campus and future study opportunities.
