In early June 2023, the College organized a Parents Day with both Chinese and English sessions. The sessions were well attended by 55 parents. Activities included exploring the challenges faced by Hong Kong’s young generation, introducing the College’s vision, academic programmes, educational goals, quality facilities and progression opportunities of the College, and the new campus at Tai Wai, and sharing by associate degree students. An alumnus from Associate of Social Science in Social Work, Jeffrey, shared his study experience at the College. Jeffrey was offered admission by both CityU and Baptist University while in his first year at the College, but stayed on to complete his associate degree at UOWCHK and obtain his social work qualification. He shared his experience of studying at the College as he emphasized the importance of time management skills and setting study goals. He expressed gratitude for the student mentor scheme which allowed him to learn from experienced seniors. Jeffrey found his college teachers supportive and helpful. He received admissions offers from HKU, CUHK and PolyU and chose CUHK as it offered the option of credit transfer. Parents actively participated by asking questions regarding university interviews process, the admission offer letters, GPA requirements for further studies, and the deadline for receiving offers.

(2023年6月3日,學院舉辦了中英文雙語家長日,旨在與家長建立聯繫。65名報名者中有55人出席。活動內容包括探討香港年輕一代面臨的挑戰,學院的願景、課程、教育目標、優質設施和升學機會,並且介紹位於大圍地鐵站旁的新校園,以及學生分享等。學生大使Jeffery分享了他在學院的學習經歷。他強調學生必須擁有時間管理技能、設定學習目標和不做最後期限的鬥士。他還對學長計劃表示感謝。他畢業後成功獲得香港大學、香港中文大學和香港理工大學的錄取。最終,他選擇了香港中文大學,因為該大學為他提供學分轉移。)
