The Reading Sanmao Project Exhibition has recently completed successfully at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (14-17 September 2024), attracting some dozens of crowds to the venue where they could read some introduction about the author Sanmao (Chen Ping 1943 - 1991) both biographically and thematically. The exhibition also showcased some students' as well as public submissions inspired by Sanmao; and there was a Reading Corner where visitors could comfortably sit on the straw cushions and read books. On 15 September 2024 Sunday afternoon, the project principal investigator and exhibition curator Dr. Mandy Chan Sze Man held a sharing session and a guided tour for the attendees.
The exhibition was co-funded by both UOW College Hong Kong Internal Grant (IRG24/AH/02) and Research Grant Council (UGC/FDS51/H03/21) of Hong Kong SAR Government, as part of the public engagement outputs for her 2.5-year research project.
