Between the 7th and 9th of June 2023, following the DSE examinations, the College organized four online short courses aimed at enhancing applicants’ practical learning skills, including Interview Skills, Study Skills, Online Sales, and AI Tools. The Interview Skills course covered topics such as interviewer expectations, typical questions with expert advice, and dressing and preparation to help interviewees excel. The Study Skills course focused on time management, note-taking, reading and writing skills, and exam preparation. It also emphasized the importance of using mathematical tools such as Photomath and self-study with AI tools. The Online Sales course taught participants how to create a company logo and slogan, as well as how to set up an online order tool with payment methods such as Jotform. The AI Tools course covered generative AI for paraphrasing English and Chinese texts, text-to-speech technology, mixing two pictures to create a distinctive feature, colorizing black-and-white photos, and animating still images. A total of 35 participants attended the workshops, which were interactive and engaging. The workshops received positive feedback from participants for being informative and productive.
