18 students from different academic programmes at UOW College Hong Kong got a taste of what life in Australia is like as they took part in the UOW Study Tour to Wollongong from August 2 to August 17, 2024. It was also life practice for the students as they were always immersed in English during their stay including during English classes, with their homestay family, and throughout the exciting range of educational and cultural excursions offered. From English conversation groups to opportunities to learn about Australia’s native flora and fauna, boomerang lessons, painting, and more, the students fully took advantage of the wide range of activities offered and engaged themselves. Apart from the UOW campus tours including the Library, Duck Pond Lawn, the students enjoyed local tours of Wollongong, the “Blue Mile Walk” and visited the South Coast town of Kiama as well as the Nan Tian Temple.
