The College conducted an online workshop on December 19, 2022 for the benefit of over 20 applicants. The workshop taught the next generation how to start their businesses online. There were four sessions:
- comprehending the advantages and disadvantages of establishing a business,
- selecting a name and brand for the company,
- creating a website for online promotion, and
- implementing an online payment system.
Three powerful tools were taught in the Workshop:
- namelix.com
- wix.com
- jotform.com
All these tools offer free versions for students’ exploration.
Namelix is an AI tool that can create a company name and logo with only a few keystrokes and within a few seconds.
Wix provides over 1000 templates for customers to build their favorite websites. The platform's simple and straightforward user interface, drag and drop functionality, make it user-friendly.
Jotform is a strong tool that can be used for a wide range of online businesses with various work flows for different applications.
Mr. To, the speaker, concluded the Workshop with a remark that one key factor to success in running a business is the ability to identify the powerful tools to grab opportunities and manage risks.
