Nearly 30 secondary school students attended a series of informative and practical workshops hosted by the College after completing their HKDSE exams in late May. The workshops helped candidates gain useful supplementary skills for their admission/job interviews. Areas covered by the workshops included study skills, online sales skills, AI tools for learning, and skill in developing electronic portfolio development. Interview workshop covered interviewer expectations, typical questions with expert advice, dressing tips and small talk. Meanwhile, the study skills workshop covered time management, note-taking, reading and writing skills, and exam preparation. The workshop for online sales skill and AI tools taught them how to create company logos and to craft slogans, how to choose a free Wix platform to list their businesses, and introduced an online order tool called Jotform. Participants learnt how AI tools can help to rewrite English in correct grammar, how to combine two images to create a distinctive feature, and how still images can be animated and reused in their studies.
